STUDENT
GUIDE AT THE MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM
What's
a student guide, you ask?
For summer fun, kids ages 14-17 can volunteer at the Monterey Bay
Aquarium. Student guides spend a week with awesome aquarium staff
learning cool ocean facts and how to share this information with visitors.
Then, they're ready to go out into the aquarium and answer questions
like the ones you have for each role.
What do student guides have to do?
1. Participant in a weeklong class at the beginning of the summer.
2. Volunteer for one or more four-hour shifts a week.
3. Attend at least five out of six weekly enrichments (field trips
and speakers).
4. Have fun!
